(In general, for everyday makeup, you should wear what's comfortable! I'm not telling you how to use makeup, I'm just giving some suggestions and random tricks that I generally use when I'm on the go in the morning! While these things might seems obvious to you, they might not to others. And I'm not taking credit for these ideas, because really I read and watch the same online beauty stuff you do, but I'm just compiling it so it's easier!)
Look MORE Awake!
I think the main point of putting on makeup in the morning is so that you can look more awake and more put-together. After all, with a little bit of makeup, you don't look like you stayed up half past midnight to work on your final thesis!
For me, if I don't have time to do anything fancy on my face, I generally just choose eye make-up because I think it's the part on your face that generally attracts the most attention. Some simple black eyeliner (waterproof and liquid if you have a long day so it doesn't smudge as easily) and mascara goes a long way and will make you look more awake when you're in a hurry! I also like to line my waterline with white eyeliner or dab a shimmery white/champagne colour on the inner corners of my eyes to make them appear larger and more alert.
Sometimes, I'll also go for eyeshadow, and I suggest for everyday eyeshadow, nude/neutral shades are the way to go. They naturally contour the shape of the eye and you can even use a dark colour to line the eyes and smudge it out in a smoky wing.
If you have a little more time, or you're having a bad skin day (because we all have those days), little dabs of concealer can be used to cover puffiness and dark circles. Or cover up blemishes! Powder foundation can be used on the t-zone (generally the oiliest part on the face, which is shown below) so you look like you have a fresh face in the morning! Since this is everyday makeup, all the cover you really need is just in small areas. Dab it on in small spots and blend it in. You may also use some on the eyelid because that's where a lot of redness and veins appear.
So I hope you found this post useful for your everyday makeup routine! It's my modified to short version of the typical morning makeup you see online.
Thank you for reading! I would love to know what your everyday makeup must-have is - let me know in the comments below!
See you next time! I'll have some crafting pictures up soon (I said this before but oh no, my blog title is not reflecting what I'm writing about :'( There's been a lot of beauty and fashion and food posts because they don't require a lot of my own pictures, which I sometimes forget/don't have time to take and upload. Anyway, I'll have something crafty up soooon! It will probably be back to school themed. Or maybe jewellery!:))
(I'll be trying to post often :))
