So today was the moment of truth. (*cue the scary music.) I went to school in the afternoon to see what my final marks were for my classes this semester. Surprisingly, my marks didn't drop all too much (half of them stayed the same!) and my overall average is above a 90 so I'm quite happy :)
Now that all that stress is gone, I'm free to enjoy the weekend...before second semester starts :'). Today, I chilled in front of the computer, watched some videos, and read some books. Doing things that you like are really a great way to unwind! I also played around with some clay, so voila, I have below a bit of a tutorial on how to make a clay Angry Bird. The cool thing is you can make your own customized version with different colours and designs!
Picture Tutorial: (I made this myself and took pictures while I was crafting! Hope you enjoy!)
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you do use any of these pictures, I ask that you please credit my work and link the photo(s) to this blog. Thank you!
Materials: air-dry clay, paints (whichever colours you choose), a toothpick
So first I made the general shape of an Angry Bird using clay. This would be a spherical shape (I pinched the top, see picture below, to have it resemble the red bird) and a beak. I then painted it purple, because I thought it would be pretty cool to make my own version :) You can paint it whatever colour you prefer!

Then a few spaces above the beak, I painted the unibrow that Angry Birds are famous for. I used a paintbrush but if you find it easier, you can use a toothpick and sort of dab it on in the shape of the brow. I then used a toothpick to draw a line down the middle of the brow (refer to picture below) to start to shape the eyes.
I used a picture I found online of the red Angry Bird (because that was the style I wanted to mimic) and outlined the eyes using a toothpick. NOTE: They come down from the brow, a curved line that connects from the beak to the brow. If needed, search up a picture and try to mimic the cartoon or refer to below picture. After that, I filled the eyes in with white and used a toothpick to draw the pupils.
And VOILA, you have a clay Angry Bird. I haven't painted the beak yet but the beak is an orange-y yellow-y colour. :)
