Firstly, thanks for stopping by again! It's awesome to see people viewing my blog, and I would love some feedback so leave a comment below!
I thought I would do this entry because I always have a problem with my hair! I would put up a picture but of course on a day I'm blogging about hair, I have a bad hair day. Basically, I had shoulder-length layered hair in the past and decided I wanted to try something new (I had layers for a few years already). And so, I got my hair cut, but now that it's chin-length, it just...poofs up (no other word to describe it XD).
Okay, so I wanted to put up a picture from Google of what my hair might look like...but every image that came up was a celebrity with perfect hair :(
Anyways, onto some style ideas and tips for short-medium length hair!
So I'm probably really really really late on this bandwagon but nevertheless, I thought I would include this here because it's helped me sososo much. I've always seen these around but never thought to get one until my hairdresser told me that it would help with my hair. Because my hair never behaves, it sticks out rather than curling in like the bob that I want. This brush really does help: all you have to do is brush the underside of your hair and pull out. The hair will curl around the brush and help it curl in, rather than stick out!
I think the power of a few bobby pins really are underestimated. They can keep your hair away from your face. You can even do something a little more fancy, like creating an updo and using a criss-cross of bobby pins (pictured above). Or you can simply twist a section of hair or braid that section of hair and clip it back :)
This style of hair requires maybe a little more effort and time, depending on if you're wearing the updo or if you're putting it up in this style to make no-heat curls. The idea is to twist the two sections of your hair at the front to the nape of your neck. You can pin these two parts and you'll end up with something like this: (Note that these photos are not mine, they belong to a site called Refinery 29)
Those are my three quick styling tips! I hope you enjoyed reading and hope you found something useful! These three things are typically how I style my own hair as my hair usually does not behave, being short and a little frizzy.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll keep on reading! Stay tuned for more styling tips and craft inspiration throughout the week!
